Who We Are
Despite its highly educated population and advanced academic curriculums, plagiarism remains a hurdle for Korean education. Due to the ultra-competitive academic atmosphere, many of its students are left with no option but to take shortcuts. The Korea Plagiarism Committee works on projects in multiple areas to raise awareness and develop academic integrity in South Korea.
Founder's Greeting
Founders of the Korea Plagiarism Committee, Dohhyun Kwon and Hidan Kim, are senior students at CheongShim International Academy. During the first semester of grade 11, the two students were enrolled in a class named Research on International Economics, a class evaluated completely based research essays. Throughout the course, the teacher discussed the importance of academic integrity and the lack of academic integrity in Korea. The two students, having learned about the issue, started working on various projects to counter academic integrity starting in CSIA and soon around Korea.
